We have a keen, low handicap junior golfer in the family and a small amount of experience of biomechanics analysis for golfers but remain a little sceptical about the benefits of this. How frequently would you recommend regular biomechanics check-ups? Many thanks for your help!
Hi, The benefits of biomechanics is that is identifies technical issues that don’t show up on camera, by improving biomechanics you can add distance, improve consistency and reduce the risk of injury. I tend to get my biomechanics checked once or twice a year with my coach and use the feedback to structure my swing changes. However more regular feedback using biomechanics can make sure you are achieving the changes you want. I’d start of with one session and then if you felt the need go back in a couple of months to check up! Hope this helps!
